Precautions for the use of couplings

Update:2022-06-22 00:00
Summary:
1. The shaft coupling is not allowed to exceed the specified axis line skew and radial displacement, so as not to affect its transmission performance.
2. After the universal coupling is installed, all fastening screws must be checked for one shift in normal operation. If they are found to be loose, they must be tightened again with the specified tightening torque. Repeat this for several shifts to ensure that they will not loosen.
3. The sliding surfaces, crossheads, and bearings of the universal coupling must be lubricated. Generally, 2# industrial lithium-based grease or 2# molybdenum-calcium disulfide-based grease is used. Under normal conditions, add oil once every 500 hours of continuous operation, and intermittent operation Refuel once every 2 months. If you work under high temperature conditions, you must refuel once a week. When refueling, unscrew the oil hole screw on the end face of the bearing and inject it with a high-pressure oil gun until it overflows.

4. During the daily maintenance of the coupling, if you find normal wear such as indentation, you should replace it in time; During maintenance, disassembly and washing, turn the cross shaft 180° to achieve alternate use of the journal under stress.
5. The contact length of the tooth width of the gear coupling shall not be less than 70%; the axial movement shall not be greater than 5mm.
6. The tooth thickness of the gear coupling is worn. When the hoisting mechanism exceeds 15% of the original tooth thickness, when the operating mechanism exceeds 25%, it should be scrapped, and it should also be scrapped if there are broken teeth.
7. If the elastic ring of the pin coupling and the sealing ring of the gear coupling are damaged or aged, they should be replaced in time.
8. During work and operation, it should be observed frequently whether the universal coupling has abnormal radial swing and bearing heating. If these phenomena are found, they must be repaired in time.
