Summary:

Many customers who don’t know about universal joint shaft products will encounter the situation that no oil can be added to the bearing during use. The universal joint shaft manufacturer analyzes that from the design structure of the cross pack, there will be no situation where no oil can be added. If grease overflows around the inner side of the bearing, it is a misconception that no oil has been added. As long as the cardan shaft is properly maintained, its use can be guaranteed.

How should the maintenance of cardan shafts be carried out?

1. The bearing shell and the cross shaft are sealed with double-sided frame oil seals. This kind of mechanical seal is relatively tight to ensure that external water and dust will not enter the bearing shell. At the same time, the grease in the bearing shell will not overflow to ensure that the cross shaft and the cross shaft Lubrication system for bearings.

2. The amount of lubricating grease that can be stored in the gap in the bearing shell is not much, and it can be filled up in a few seconds with an ordinary pneumatic high-pressure grease gun. Due to the tightness of the skeleton seal ring, the grease injected into the bearing will not overflow, so the filling of the bearing in one direction has been completed.

3. Repeat the above method to add grease to the remaining bearings, and complete the grease maintenance of the cross-pack bearings in all directions.

For the middle part of the universal joint shaft, it is relatively easy to add oil to the oil storage area of the spline pair. Cardan shafts need fixed-period maintenance during use. Correct cardan shaft maintenance can extend the life of cardan shafts by more than 30%-50%.
